I don't know why the boat owners in the Atlantic provinces tend to paint their craft in vibrant colors versus those in the Pacific who seem to favour white, but the colorful boats certainly trigger an artists desire to paint. These beauties were across the road from a B&B where my husband and I were staying and I knew that my opportunity to record this image had to be immediate since they would be out to sea by the time we rose in the morning.
