Following the early trade routes and originating some 50 mg north of Prince George in Summit Lake, the crooked River roughly parallels the modern day Highway 97 as it travels towards Williston Lake. Each of the rivers many turns reveal new splendor of forest, fauna and wildlife.

This is the third and last in a series I painted from canoe trips with my husband. In this particular painting my husband told me I left out the swarms of mosquitoes that accompanied us.
