Only the hardy or determined hikers get to see this wonderful image. The trail to Berg Lake is 22km with an elevation change of 725 metres. Mount Robson rises 2400 metres above Berg Lake. The view along this trail is spectacular. Berg Glacier clings to Mount Robson’s northwest face and is one of the few ‘living’ or ‘advancing’ glaciers in the Canadian Rockies. Frequently Mount Robson’s summit is cloaked in cloud, but on those days when it stands pristine and clear, the mountains majesty is insurmountable.
